Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13:13 that three things remain: faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love. At Hope + Love Rescue Mission, we believe every life matters and every person deserves to encounter hope. Whether it is a warm meal, safe shelter, clean clothing, or a listening ear, our desire is to serve our neighbors with compassion and dignity.
Jesus also teaches us in Mark 12:30 to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. That calling shapes everything we do. At Hope + Love, we simply seek to hold the door open, for those who need help, for those who want to help, and for those who are just beginning to learn how they can make a difference.
Our prayer is that everyone who walks through these doors encounters genuine hospitality, renewed hope, and the opportunity for lasting transformation.

The Hope & Love Rescue Mission was established in response to the growing reality of homelessness and poverty within the Greater Cleveland County area of North Carolina. As we listened to the stories of individuals and families facing crisis, it became clear that temporary solutions alone were not enough. People need safety, support, and a renewed sense of hope to move forward.
Guided by faith and inspired by Scripture, the Hope & Love Rescue Mission was created to provide pathways toward restoration, personal growth, and long-term self-sufficiency. The words of 1 Corinthians 13:13 — “Three things will last forever - Faith, Hope, and Love - and the greatest of these is Love.” — shape both our purpose and our approach. Faith grounds our mission, hope fuels the journey toward stability, and love defines how we serve every individual with dignity and respect.

What We Offer
Women’s Emergency Shelter
A safe, Christ-centered shelter offering emergency housing and compassionate care for women in crisis.
Women’s Restoration program
A six-month, Christ-centered residential program focused on healing, growth, and independence.
Women’s Transitional housing
Miriam’s Hope House is a Christ-centered program offering new beginnings for women in housing crisis.
men’s Transitional housing
The Rock House is a Christ-centered program offering housing, accountability, and support for men in transition.
Who we are
Hope and Love Rescue Mission exists to fill the gaps of the deepest needs in our community. We are not the first Rescue Mission to occupy this space, but our vision is stronger than ever. Every decision we make is shaped by a clear sense of purpose. Our journey has been anything but ordinary, but through every step, we've focused on shining the light of Christ towards our neighbors that need it most.
